Animal Crossing: New Horizons became an immediate sensation when it was released in late March, and while the initial high of building the perfect island has settled down for many players, there’s still plenty to look forward to. The Animal Crossing series has always given players something to celebrate with the passing seasons by incorporating several holidays throughout the year, and New Horizons is no different. What is different is that this time, Nintendo has put in safeguards against time traveling to future holidays, making the schedule of Animal Crossing events more important than ever. Nintendo hasn’t given a full rundown of holidays and dates for 2020 just yet, but here are all the Animal Crossing: New Horizons holidays confirmed so far. Bunny Day - April 1 to April 12 Image via Nintendo The first holiday to be added after the launch of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Bunny Day is a nearly two-week-long festival that replaced lots of the resources found around the island with eggs — and replaced the joy of crafting with unbridled rage at Zipper the bunny for a lot of players. During the event, players could gather egg-themed recipes, though plenty just spent the time wishing the holiday wasn’t so long. Nature Day - April 23 to May 4 Image via Nintendo Revealed at the same time as Bunny Day, Nature Day is Animal Crossing’s take on Earth Day, though it starts the day after the actual holiday. Nature Day brings new Nook Miles+ goals centered on planting and cultivating plants. It also introduces Leif, a sloth who previously appeared in Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Pocket Camp, who sells shrubs and flower seeds. May Day - May 1 to May 7 Image via Nintendo May Day in New Horizons opens up a special island that players will only be able to visit for this special event. After receiving their one-time use May Day Ticket, players can fly to a mysterious island that’s been turned into a hedge maze. The maze is full of prizes, and returning favorite character Rover is waiting at the end to hand off an exclusive reward for completing the challenge. For this holiday, museum curator Blathers will give players a special stamp card that they can fill out by viewing exhibits at the museum for a special reward. The first International Museum Day in New Horizons comes shortly after an update that added art to the museum. Wedding Season - June 1 to June 30 Image via Nintendo For the entire month of June, photographer Harvey will have a marriage celebration available to visit on his island. Players can get to the island any time via the airport, but during this event, they’ll meet Reese and Cyrus, a married couple who’ve appeared in previous Animal Crossing games. For the Wedding Season event, players will be able to decorate Harvey’s photo studio for a special portrait session and earn wedding-themed rewards in exchange. Holidays set around Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas have already been teased, with more likely to come in between.
