Since launch Max Payne 3 multiplayer are experiencing some nasty issue (matchmaking issues, getting stuck in a loading screen), and Rockstar Games has released a day one patch (11MB in size). This is a mandatory update and allow gamers access to game's multiplayer section.
Rockstar Games has not revealed complete details (changelog) as to what type of bug this new patch address, however few tidbit about the update for fans are out.
"PS3 “Corrupt Game Data” Message: When a patch is available the first time you play a game on PS3, the download of the patch may interrupt the installation of Game Data on the PS3. Once the game reboots, it may give you an error message that says the game data is corrupted and needs to be installed. This is normal and you can allow the game to re-write the Game Data; after that, the message should not appear again."
Reports from gamers on game's official forum suggests that this day one patch is not that useful and matchmaking and other issues still exist. Rockstar Games has issued an statement saying, "We’re also aware of other issues and our devs are working to fix them as soon as possible."
