  • Report: Playstation Store will be restore on May 24

    According to the leaked memo sent to developer and publisher by Sony, the Playstation Store will be back online on May 24 (next Tuesday).

    The reports suggest that Sony will be releasing two PS Store updates per week instead of usual one in order to make up for a lost time due to recent PSN outage.

    “We thank you for your patience as we work to resume service of the PlayStation Store,” wrote content manager Jack Osorno in the memo.

    “If there are concerns, we are willing to consider adjusting the release date of your content on this schedule. Adjustments will be made on a case by case basis.”

    The PS Store update are expected to go live on May 24 27, 31 and June 3.

  • Killzone 3 double XP weekend starts tomorrow

    Sony has announced a double XP weekend for all Killzone 3 gamers in order to celebrate the return of Playstation Network. The news was confirmed of game's official website.

    Sony wrote on official Killzone 3 website:

    “To celebrate the return of the PlayStation Network and welcome you back to Killzone 3’s online battlefield,” begins a blog post on Killzone.com, “we’ve got a Double XP Weekend lined up!”

    The double XP weekend for Killzone 3 will begin this Friday (tomorrow, May 20th) at 17:00pm “UK time” and Monday (May 23rd) at 10:00am “UK time,”.

    the Score Screen will display the message “Fast Starter Bonus” instead of “Bonus Points” – this is a string error that will be fixed in future Bonus XP events

  • Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 announced, NGP and 3DS version also confirmed

    Warner Bros has announced Legao Harry Potter: Years 5-7, and it will launch in Q4 2011 for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PSP, PC, DS and 3DS. The publisher also confirmed that the NGP version of the game is also in development.

    Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 is based on the final three books in the series i.e Order of the Phoenix, Half-Blood Prince and the Deathly Hallows.

  • L.A Noire first DLC launch date announced

    The launch date for the first DLC pack for Rockstar's latest release L.A Noire has been revealed. The DLC titled as "Nicholson Electroplating Arson Case" was first outed by Best Buy. It will launch on June 21.

    Last week it was suggested by Team Bondi that some content cut out from the final version of L.A Noire may be launched as DLC.

    "We've got two full desks - burglary and bunko - that never made it into the game, so we've been thinking [about] those and whether we'll do them," Team Bondi said.

  • Resident Evil: The Mercenaries UK launch date announced

    Nintendo has announced the UK launch date of Resident Evil: The Mercenaries, it will be released on July 1.

    Resident Evil: The Mercenaries is completely based on Mercenaries mode from Resident Evil 4 and 5, and it will feature many Resident Evil lead characters including Chris and Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine, Albert Wesker, Barry Burton and Rebbecca Chambers.

    In United States Resident Evil: The Mercenaries will launch in June 28, and on June 2 in Japan.

  • Zynga acquires DNA Games

    No one seems to be stoping Zynga, the company has its fourteenth acquisition that too in just 12 months time period, and this time they bought San Franciscan outfit DNA Games.

    DNA Games a technology-driven, casual gaming platform is funded by Battery Ventures and Bain Capital Ventures. No details were revealed related to the what amount Zynga paid for buyout.

  • Buy L.A Noire from Tesco only for £25

    Want to know the best place to buy L.A Noire, then head to nearest Tesco Store as they will be selling it for £25 from midnight tonight.

  • Xbox Live new dashboard update available for download

    Microsoft has just released the new dashboard update on Xbox Live. To download the update all Xbox 360 owners need to do is, connect to Xbox Live, a message will appear which will prompt you to download and install a mandatory update.

    It has been confirmed by Major Nelson that this new update will bring popular payment method PayPal and also support for new Microsoft disc format.

    If you did not receive update notification right now, don't worry, as the update will be launched in six separate waves between May 19 to May 30.

    Bethesda has just confirmed that RAGE: Anarchy Edition will also be released in United Kingdom. This special edition was first announced at Bethesda's Pre-E3 event inb Utah last month.

    • Double barrel shotgun – Does what it says on the tin.
