  • EA: SSX: Deadly Descent to include "Autolog Inspired" Online Features

    SSX: Deadly Descent will feature 'Autolog Inspired' Online Features EA Canada has confirmed. In an interview to NowGamer, producer Todd Batty said that SSX: Deadly Descent will have online and social feature very much similar to Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.

    "I think [multiplayer] is extremely important," Todd Batty said. "You can expect a very strong multi-player/online experience that is incredibly innovative, inspired by what 'autolog' from Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit brought to the racing genre."

  • Mass Effect 3 and Battlefield 3 coming to 3DS and NGP

    This will definitely excite the handlheld gamers, as Electronic Arts has listed "handheld/mobile" version of their upcoming games "Mass Effect 3" and "Battlefield 3".

    Both these titles are currently confirmed for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, but the publisher has teased fans with "new ways to play Mass Effect", and according to the reports from Kotaku, the handheld/mobile version of Battlefield 3 will launch in Q4.

    Rumors are circulating that both these game are currently in development for NGP and 3DS, however no official confirmation yet.

  • Saint Row 3DS version cancelled

    According to reports coming out various news and gaming site, THQ has canned the 3DS version of their popular Saints Row franchise. Previously it was reported that THQ is developing Saints Row: Drive for 3DS, Xbox 360 and PS3.

    No reason was revealed as to why the game was canned. In an interview to Joystiq all a THQ representative said, “We are not developing Saints Row: Drive By.”

  • Sony was aware of PSN security flaws: Shinji Hasejima

    This is utter nonsense, Shinji Hasejima, Sony Chief Information Officer, has admitted in tokyo press conference that the company was fully and very much aware of "vulnerabilities" in PSN.

    In an interview Hasejima said, "The vulnerability of the network was a known vulnerability, one known of in the world. But Sony was not aware of it... was not convinced of it. We are now trying to improve aspects of it."

    “We thought we had taken enough management and control measures (to ensure the network was secure), but looking back, there might have been room for further enhancement,” Shiro Kambe added, “We have to admit we were not fully sufficient.”

    The above statement from Hasejima means, even after knowing flaw in PSN security Sony didn't took adequate measures to secure it, CARELESS NATURE OF SONY.

  • EA Fiscal 4th Quarter 2011 results announced

    EA has announced its Q4 2011 result, and according to the details revealed the company has done exceptionally well. A total of three titles sold more than 5 millions copies, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 crossed 7 million mark, and "FIFA 11" is the best performing game of the company as it sold 12 million.

    • EA delivered 15 titles rated 80 or above by Metacritic in fiscal 2011. Mass Effect 2 won more than 150 quality awards including Game of the Year at both the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.
    • EA held 15 of the top 25 paid games on the iPhone Easter Weekend. Revenue from iOS devices and from our Playfish social gaming site both increased by more than 100% in the fourth quarter as compared to the same period fiscal 2010.
    • EA shipped seven titles in the fourth quarter that have already sold in over 1 million units each, life to date. Crysis 2, Dragon Age 2, and Dead Space 2 each sold in more than two million units.
    • Life to date, including digital, FIFA 11 sold in 12 million units; Battlefield: Bad Company 2 sold in over seven million units; and Medal of Honor, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, and Madden NFL 11 each sold in over five million units.
    • Cumulative sales of Dead Space 2 are currently 40% higher than sales of the original Dead Space game over a comparable period.

  • Sony: Anonymous behind SOE hack

    Sony has officially confirmed that the infamous hacker group "Anonymous" are involved in Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) hack.

    In the past Anonymous has been vocal in saying that they were not at all involved in ongoing PSN outage, but Sony has confirmed their hand behind SOE hack, and could therefore possible also be involved in PSN outage.

    We discovered that the intruders had planted a file on one of our Sony Online Entertainment servers named “Anonymous” with the words “We are Legion.”

  • Mass Effect 3 delayed until 2012

    Casey Hudson, the executive producer of the Mass Effect series has announced that the next game in the franchise "Mass Effect 3" will be release in first three months of 2012. The news was confirmed by Casey on the official Facebook page.

  • Darkness 2 dated for UK

    2K Games has announced the release date for The Darkness II. The sequel is developed by Digital Extremes, it will carry on the original focus on moving narrative, and is directly aims to expand the lead character Jackie by making him more well rounded.
