  • Activision ends Guitar Hero & DJ Hero Franchises, also canned True Crime: Hong Kong

    No more Guitar Hero and DJ Hero games on any system. YES, you read it right, Activision has announced that from now on they won't releasing Guitar Hero or DJ Hero games. The reason stated by them for this development was, "due tocontinued declines in the music genre".

    The publisher also revealed that development work on True Crime: Hong Kong has been stopped, since the game was just not good enough.

  • Diablo III will not release in 2011: Blizzard

    Blizzard Entertainment will not release any game title in 2011, including the much awaited Diablo III, a third installment in Diablo franchise.

    Referring to Diablo III, During the quarterly conference call, Blizzard's CEO Mike Morhaime said:

    "We are very excited about Diablo 3. I am looking forward to sharing more news about the game and our upcoming Beta, during the next conference call.

    In the long run Blizzard is geared for one major release a year, but the quality has to be there. that’s why nothing in 2009 but two in 2010. And the results speak for themselves. No date yet for Diablo III, but it was prudent not to commit to something we couldn’t make, or would require game quality compromises.stion: To follow up on Diablo III, who not in 2011? Can you give us a percent completed?

    It’s coming along very well, we’re very happy with the development process. But until we get to beta and have the community help test the game, we’re not going to lock in a release date. Let me clarify the earlier remarks. We’re not locking into any date. We’re not committing to 2012. There’s no date set yet at all."

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops First Strike DLC sells 1.4 million in 24 hours

    A whooping 1.4 million units sold in just 24 hours, this is the first day sales stats of the Call of Duty: Black Ops DLC "First Strike" for Xbox 360. The DLC carried a price tag of $15, which implies that Activision pocketed a sum of $21 million on First Strike launch day.

    These sales figure set a new Xbox Live records for Activision as part of their fourth quater financial report and full 2010 year financial report. The publisher also announced the release date of First Strike for PS3 and PC, you can check out these details here.

  • Doug Creutz: Grand Theft Auto V Unlikely Before March 2012

    Yesterday Take Two released their quarterly financial results, it carried all the important details related to publisher's earning and their upcoming game titles. However one big thing was left undisclosed in it, When a much awaited sequel to Grand Theft Auto IV, (which is GTA V) would arrive.

    According to Cowen & Company analyst Doug Creutz, chances of Grand Theft Auto V releasing in publisher's next financial year (which ends in March 2012) is very slim.

    In a research note Creutz wrote: "Our belief that a FY12 release of GTA V is highly unlikely at this point,"

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops First Strike Dated for PS3

    Treyarch has dated Call of Duty: Black Ops First Strike map pack for Playstation 3. The very first DLC for the game will arrive on PS3 on March 3. It will give PS3 gamers their first crack at four new multiplayer maps (Kowloon, Berlin Wall, Discovery, and Stadium) and one Zombie map (Ascension). For PS3 it will carry a price tag of $15.

    The DLC is already out for Xbox 360. Regarding the PC release date for the DLC, it is "Sometime in April".

  • Crytek Revealed Crysis 2 new weapon "Feline"

    Crytek has revealed details about a new weapons that will be used by gamers their upcoming shooting game title "Crysis 2". Its called "Feline" a submachine gun having capability of firing a total of 1200 rounds/minute. Check it out below:

    • Developed by UK weapon specialist Lank & Linder
    • Make use of 4.7mm pistol rounds which decreases the bullet size, as a result overall magazine capacity increases.

  • Bulletstorm censored in Germany

    First German Entertainment Software Rating Board censored Call of Duty: Black Ops, and now its Bulletstorm. The German software rating body has heavily censored EA's upcoming first-person shooter Bulletstorm. It has got USK 18+ rating.


    According to the reports the german edition of the game will not feature:

    • Ragdoll Effect
    • Blood
    • Splatter or Dismemberment

    However, to overcome the censorship issue publisher is planning to release the uncensored Austrian version of the game (PEGI 18) in Germany, provided it doesn't get a ban ahead of its late February release. If this happens then fans can opt for full blood-soaked experience if they wish to.

  • Dragon Age 2 Xbox 360 Achievements

    Dragon Age 2 Achievements list out now. There are in total 50 Achievements, out of which 5 are secret and 45 are regular. It will release on this 8th March in North America and on 10th in Europe. Choices that the player made in Dragon Age: Origins can be imported and reflected in the world of Dragon Age II. Choices from Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening will also be imported, if the player decides to take this action.
